To cope with ever growing amounts of email, use filters, folders, and rules to help organize incoming email traffic.

Create a folder for each person who reports to you, your supervisor, or any other significant person you deal with regularly including family members, board chairs, and project managers.  Set up other folders by project or for specific newsletters you may get.  Then, set up rules to direct emails to those specific folders. Check junk mail once a day to be sure nothing slipped by that you need.  Finally, establish priorities to review emails by project or person throughout the day.
